2013 Jeep Wrangler and Compass Sales Lead the Way in May

Chrysler Group LLC along with our dealership in Owensboro, KY have much to celebrate following the release of last month's sales tally. The auto brand reported an impressive 11 percent increase in sales since this time last year and furthermore, the groundbreaking total marked the company's best May sales since 2007. Some of its successful shift from spring to summer sales can be credited to a special duo of new Jeep models.

For starts, the 2013 Jeep Wrangler received much love throughout May, and not only by our Henderson area drivers. With 16,272 units delivered across the U.S., the rugged SUV enjoyed a 13 percent growth in sales and wrapped May up as its best ever sales month.

Many new car shoppers are attracted to the Wrangler's capabilities both on the road and off. Its standard 3.6-liter V6 engine daringly delivers 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Its fearless attitude resonates in its four-wheel drive system, option to go topless, and a unique ruggedness that has made the Jeep model a symbol of authentic all-American driving.

Also reveling in a record breaking month is the 2013 Compass. The SUV's sales were just as big as its stature, with a massive 42 percent jump since May 2012. In addition to being the Compass' best sales month since its launch, the model also raked in the largest year-over-year percentage return out of the entire Jeep lineup.

Despite the thousands of Compass and Wrangler models sold last month, we still have the best-sellers available for you, here at Steve Jones Chrysler Dodge Jeep. Get a first-hand look at what features have won over so many American drivers already this year and continue following our blog to keep an eye on the auto brand as it sustains its sale success.
